The Five Blue Flags are now flying on Alcossebre’s beaches and the Coastal Walkway

Once again this year, Blue Flags have been awarded for the Alcala de Xivert-Alcossebre beaches and coastal walkway, for the quality of their services and the cleanliness of both the sand and the water.

For the town’s mayor, Francisco Juan Mars, this quality emblem for Alcossebre’s shores is the reward for the council’s work to offer tourists visiting the locality the highest quality.  He said that “the work is carried out all year, as the maintenance, cleanliness and services have to be continuous”.

Alcossebre has been awarded 6 flags altogether: 5 for its beaches and the sixth for its coastal walkway, linking the Cargador and la Romana beaches.

The mayor pointed out that “The great beauty and quality of the Alcossebre beaches has been proved for another year.  These quality certificates show us that our town has the best beaches in the province.  As well as having a privileged natural space, which perfectly combines the sea and the mountains, Alcossebre has its own unique beauty”.
