In August, hotel occupation in Alcossebre exceeded 90%
Alcala de
Xivert-Alcossebre Council has made public the information regarding hotel
occupation figures, which in August in Alcossebre reached more than 90%. The average occupation figures were slightly
up on last year’s excellent figures for the same month, confirming that
Alcossebre continues to be a favourite destination for tourists.
Regarding the
statistics for enquiries in the town’s different tourist information offices,
more than 10,000 have been recorded.
The central
office recorded over 7,300 enquiries during this period. The Romana Beach auxiliary Tourist Office
attended to a total of 1,725 requests for information and the Alcala de Xivert
Tourist Office received about 1,000 requests for information. Also, 514 tourists enjoyed guided visits to
the Church and the Bell Tower.
To these figures
must be added the more than 260 phone calls made to the office in the Plaza
Vistalegre just during August.
The tourism web
page www.alcossebre.org also
reflected positive figures, with over 20,800 ‘hits’ during the month (as
against the 17,500 made in the same period in 2012).
