St. Valentine´s
Saint Valentine´s Day of the Alcossebre Pensioners Lovers
Well, I actually don´t know if the pensioners who came to San Benet premises to celebrate Saint Valentine´s Day, were really all lovers, but what I am quite sure about is that the more than 110 pensioners who filled the big room, were having a great time.
We were delighted and surprised by the lovely and imaginative
decoration which greeted us. We entered passing under an archway made with
black and red baloons,
The colour scheme in the saloon was also black and red baloons, red
hearts suspended from the ceiling, and red candles set in nicely decorated cups
which were on apple green and lilac covered tables, a beautiful display created
by Anca. The chef, Sebastian, produced a delicious meal, consisting of seafood
salad, a fruit sorbet, anglerfish and a heart-chaped St. Valentine´s cake.
Compliments to the chef, to Anca and everyone who helped make the first
St. Valentine´s event to be held in the new centre a resounding success.
When dancing commenced about 11 o´clock,
the wine and cava had already warmed, cheered and loosened everyone up. More
than one person was left breathless
whether dancing close together or participating in energetic line-dancing. A
successful and very enjoyable event which drew to a close about one o´clock
