Torreblanca
Torreblanca starts the process to repeal their position as developing agent for the Doña Blanca Golf from Urbanizadora Torremar.
Torreblanca Council has approved the initiation of a process for the resolution of the adjudication of development agent to the Urbanizadora Torremar business and/or the resolution of the programme.

This situation has arisen from stagnation which has struck the project during recent years, until recently on 1st April, when the company which had been awarded the programme produced a letter in which it requested a “mutually acceptable” resolution.
Under the current circumstances, this business finds itself represented by delegated companies acting as advisers, a situation bringing little or no clarity to the resolution of this phase of conflict which the company, which was awarded the PAI Doña Blanca Golf at the end of the 1999-2003 legislature, is now entering.
The point was approved with the governing party voting, whilst BLOC and PSOE voted against.
An amendment put forward by the PSOE was rejected. There was further discussion of the matter and its past history.
Regarding the socialists requests, the PP spokesperson urged that the meeting should start the process, through which it would be hoped that the municipal engineers could produce the mandatory reports to finalise the situation so that the relationship with Urbanizadora Torremar could be extinguished and the conditions of the agreement be adopted, or, on the contrary, the legal measures which should be adopted to resolve this conflict.
This has been a long-run saga dating back to the late 1990’s when the Doña Blanca Golf was to be the centre-piece of the Homologación del Litoral de Torreblanca. It has since suffered many delays due to commercial and political problems.
