News from The Friends of Alcossebre
The Charity Shop is open on the sea front facing the Playa Carregador in Alcossebre from Monday to Friday from 10:30h to 13:30h. There is a wide range of good quality, second-hand, clean clothing, books and bric-a-brac – donations of which are always welcome and may be brought to the shop at Edificio Irta Playa, Playa Carregador, next to the Restaurante El Arenal, or to the Collection Points in the Alcossebre Pensionistas and the Alcala Pensionistas premises.
Funds raised in the shop are donated regularly to local charities and organisations in Alcossebre and Alcala de Xivert. In 2013 we donated €20,000 and from 2006 to date we have donated €126,000. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have made the shop a success.
The shop is run by a group of English and Spanish volunteers and if you would like to become a volunteer, we would always be happy to hear from you. If you have a temporary need for a wheel chair, cot or zimmer frame, further information can be obtained from the Charity Shop.
