The Alcala de Xivert-Alcossebre awards the prizes in its campaign to promote local business

On Wednesday 21st January, the prizes were awarded to the winners of the different local business promotion campaigns held in the town during 2014.

Over 40 winners received their shopping vouchers, in value from 50 to 200 euros, which can be exchanged for goods in the local businesses participating in the campaigns.  The Mayor, Francisco Juan Mars, and the councillor, Pascual Herrera Sancho, handed out the prizes.

The 3,000 euros in prizes were for the Tapas Route, the Saudade Festival of Music and the Pirámide of prizes campaigns to support local businesses.  Now the happy winners, who participated by making purchases in the participating establishments during the different campaigns, can use their vouchers to make purchases, so that the benefit of the council’s campaign is returned directly to the business people in Alcala and Alcossebre.

The Mayor, Francisco Juan, pointed out that “besides promoting employment and business activity in our town to combat the effects of the crisis, the encouragement for local businesses through this type of campaign seems to us to be necessary in the current economic situation, thus we have supported those businesses which make the effort to open their doors every day through these campaigns”.
