Esther Pallardó visited the Alcossebre Sant Benet Pensioners Association

Vice-president of the Diputación and Provincial Deputy for Social Action, Esther Pallardó, visited Alcossebre at the end of February for a meeting with members of the San Benet Pensioners Association.  Pallardó had a long meeting with the Association’s Committee, and was accompanied during her visit by the mayor of Alcala, Francisco Juan, and Desa Pitarch, Social Services councillor.
Jacinto Gauxachs, the association’s president, and members of the Committee, explained their main projects and concerns to Pallardó.  And she was particularly interested to see at firsthand how the group works.
This meeting was one of the meetings planned by Esther Pallardó with pensioners clubs in the province and she had held a similar meeting some weeks earlier with the Pensioners Association in Alcala de Xivert.
The San Benet Committee gave a full report on their programme of activities to the Diputación Vicepresident.  And the Alcossebre group of pensioners showed themselves to be an enthusiastic and enterprising association, which fact Esther Pallardó emphasised at the end of the meeting.  Francisco Juan and Desa Pitarch explained different aspects regarding the operation of the group to Pallardó and also emphasised the close relations there are between the two pensioners associations in the municipality.
