Work is progressing on building the new gym in Alcala de Xivert

Alcala de Xivert-Alcossebre Council has updated information on how the building works are progressing for the new Alcala de Xivert Gym, with an area of 200 sq.m., situated in the cami Sant Miquel, next to the Multi-sports Pavillion.

The mayor, Francisco Juan Mars, explained that, following the days of rain which delayed the work, everything is now back on track and progressing well for the new gymnasium.

“Following this council’s policy, the work is being carried out by a local company, with a budget of about 200,000 € to cover it, the equipment and the sports furnishings”.

According to the council leader, the main aim is “to improve the social, cultural and sports facilities in the two centres, Alcala de Xivert and Alcossebre, by taking care of maintaining the existing facilities and providing other new ones, always in response to the town’s demands.

In the words of the mayor, Francisco Juan Mars, “we have always listened to our residents and we try to provide solutions for their needs”.
