The 13th Alcala de Xivert Boxing Day Run

The Alcala de Xivert Amics de les Curses Populars sports association, together with the Alcala de Xivert Council and the local Red Cross Association, is organising the 13th Sant Silvestre Gaspatxera run on Sunday, 27th December 2015.
The aim of this festive, family, non-competitive event is to say farewell to the year in a healthy, entertaining and charitable manner, and so all residents are urged to take part.
The children’s races will start at 16:00 hours from the Plaza Juan Vilanova (Rosaleda) in Alcala de Xivert. The routes and distances will vary depending on the age of the participants.
The adults’ race will start at 17:00 hours from the same square. It will consist of twice around a route through the town, passing the most iconic local places, and will be 4kms long.
You may sign up for the charity race on the day itself from 16:00 hours in the Plaza Juan Vilanova (Rosaleda). To obtain a number, runners must donate non-perishable food which will be given to the local Food Bank.
There will be prizes for all participants. At the end, the Bar-Restaurante Rosaleda will offer hot chocolate for everyone who needs to recover their strength.
All runners who take part in fancy dress will be entered for a Prize for the best fancy dress. There will also be a raffle among all participants and other gifts from the organisation.
