The trip to Valencia was the final event of Women’s Week
A large group from Alcala and Alcossebre visited the Corts and the Palau de la Música.
The 2012 programme for Women’s Week in Alcala-Alcossebre ended with a trip to Valencia which included visits to Les Corts and the Palau de la Música. About a hundred of the towns’ residents enjoyed a day which turned out to be very entertaining.
The group from Alcala-Alcossebre was led by María Agut and Desa Pitarch as representatives of the Council. Two coaches, one from Alcala and the other from Alcossebre, took the ‘trippers’ to Valencia.
The first stop was at Les Corts. There the people from Alcala-Alcossebre were given a fully guided tour of the old and new parts of the building, its history and how this institution operates.
Immediately afterwards the travellers went on to the Palau de la Música, where they enjoyed lunch. They were then able to visit two of the different exhibitions housed in the building - “Llum en extinció” by Robert Ferrer and “Lo que las palabras no dicen” (“What words don’t say”) by María Catalán.
It was a very good day and proved to be another well attended success to add to the programme of events the Council had organised to mark Women’s Week.
