Work is progressing on the multipurpose building in Alcossebre
The new CESAL will meet the needs of associations and act as a place to hold leisure and cultural events in Alcossebre
Building the multipurpose CESAL in Alcossebre is going well, having commenced a few weeks ago. Currently the footings are being put in and it is expected that in a few weeks the first phase of the construction will become visible. The municipally-owned plot on which it is being built is in a strategic location, at the entrance to the town and very near the Sant Benet Pensioners Centre.
The building will have different halls and rooms, ready for social, leisure and cultural activities. On the ground floor there will be two large halls for events and conferences, whilst on the first floor there will be four different sized rooms, which will be used to meet the demand for space for courses and meetings organised by Alcossebre associations. Each floor will have an area of 350 square metres. On the third floor there will be an open terrace. The budget for the building is 500,000 euros.
The Mayor, Francisco Juan Mars, has said that “this building will meet the demand for space for events organised by the council and by associations in Alcossebre and will provide this type of facility for both centres, Alcala and Alcossebre”.
