Alcala de Xivert
The “Discochenta” party invites you to time travel musically in the Espai d’Oci in Alcala de Xivert
There will be a themed party on Saturday 2nd April, entitled “Discochenta 2016” (Eighties Disco 2016), to raise funds to finance the journey to Llodio (Alava) which the Alcala Football Club is organising for its youth team.
As Sports Councillor, Ricardo Aguilar explained, looking for an original and attractive theme, given that discos with today’s music are normal for young folk, “I thought we could dedicate this event to the nostalgia of the music of the 80’s”.
What started as a simple idea, little by little became a big event as local disc jockeys began to join the project. “Chimo, Bru joined and their ideas will make this a fiesta with memories of parties in Alcala in the 80’s”.
To recreate those years, the decorations and ambience are being carefully arranged. “There will be details like small tables with candles, the ubiquitous glitter ball and the ability to pay in pesetas, all of which will add to make this event unforgettable”. (Tickets are 4€ or 400 ptas.)
The Sports Councillor said that “although it is for everyone, I think this fiesta could attract people over 25 years old, who can find themselves slightly out of place in other environments. We expect a great many people to attend and that everyone will really enjoy themselves, as well as helping us to achieve our aim to collect funds to reduce the cost of travel for the youth team players”.
