Alcossebre residents request lighting and pavements for pedestrians along the coast

[Img #49917]Alcossebre residents want improvements to the lighting and pedestrian safety along various parts of the coast.  Señora Celia Pérez, owner of an apartment in Alcossebre, who has spent time in the locality for many years, on behalf of herself and of several residents, maintains that “during all these years, Alcossebre has kept growing and improving the infrastructures; but there are still areas which could be improved”.

She declares that “although many areas of the paths along the beach have been improved this year, there are places where it is difficult to walk comfortably as the ground is covered with stones”.

She is therefore drawing the authorities’ attention to the creation of safe areas for pedestrians, with the necessary facilities, where, as she says, “there are sections in which there is not even a limited path, where quite simply, the pavement ends, such as the route from Tres Playas to the Tropicana”.

She gives as an example, work which has been carried out in other parts of the coast and which, in her judgement, should be replicated in the places where this type of public service is lacking, “we like the walk to the lighthouse very much, and this example could be copied in other areas”, they say.

The residents request that measures be taken by the competent authorities to provide these services in the areas they are needed. “We ask that the council continues working to improve these services or that it urges the competent body to carry it out”, they end.
