The Socialist Group complains about the abandoned areas on the periphery of Alcossebre

[Img #49930]The Socialists have requested the PP governing group to improve the maintenance of the estates on the outskirts of Alcossebre, which are already in an alarmingly unkempt state.

In the area known as “Llanera”, socialist sources explained to us that “accumulated rubbish, plots full of undergrowth, which violates the town planning regulations to guarantee a good appearance and public health, and street lamps with loose fuses and cables, can all be seen by anyone, and could lead to very serious harm”.  The socialists also noted that traffic circulation signs are missing and waste bins are non-existent.  Also the public trees need pruning “as it is difficult to walk normally along some pavements”.  And finally “the picture one sees in this public space is a public park in a terrible state: broken seats, dirty, dog excrement, manholes without covers and swings which have not been maintained”.

Once again the socialist leaders demand that the council pays greater attention to these estates.  The socialist spokesperson states that “everyone pays their taxes and merits quality services; besides which, this image is not acceptable for a municipality which aspires to tourism excellence.  We urge the governing group to act now”.
