Alcala de Xivert-Alcossebre Council asks the Valencian Generalitat to continue improving the port and Las Fuentes surroundings
Representatives from the Council and the Marina Users Association met with the sub-director of the Ports General Management
Alcala de Xivert-Alcossebre Council and the Marina Users Assocation have explained to the Generalitat Valenciana, the need for continued improvement and fitting-out of the Alcossebre port and the Las Fuentes surroundings. Town planning councillor, José Colom, and the Tourism councillor, Alejandra Roca, accompanied by representatives of the users’ association, met with the sub-director of the Ports General Management, Pilar Álvarez.
José Colom reminded her that “the removal of the dry dock had been an extraordinary improvement, creating an open space which is much more attractive. This work to improve the area, carried out by the Council, must now be continued with a work programme jointly with the Generalitat Valenciana”.
Speaking for the users, their intention is to “instigate regulations for the public space and to continue maintaining the lines of cooperation with the Council”. Pilar Álvarez said that she was disposed to join in actions which would contribute to the continued improvement of the area and announced that she would visit soon to see for herself what the requirements are regarding the actions which would improve the area.
