The “Temps per al record” open-air exhibition is set up in Alcala and Alcossebre

Old photographs show how the principal local places used to look

Alcala-Alcossebre has set up a new open-air exhibition as part of the street furnishings.  The Council is installing photographs which make up part of the “Temps per al record” exhibition – which were able to be seen during previous Patronal fiestas – on panels.  The photos show how the places where they are situated looked many years ago.  The photographs date from the first decades of the 20th century.  In Alcala there are two panels in the plaza de la Iglesia, one next to the CESAL building, in the plaza de la Estación, on the roundabout at the south entrance and at the Calvario.  In Alcossebre it is planned to place them in the plaza Vista Alegre, Playa Romana, playa de Las Fuentes and the Avenida de Las Fuentes.

“The exhibition was very successful during the fiestas because it is so curious to see how our town has changed.  Therefore it seemed to be very interesting for the photos to be seen, as they were in the open air exhibition, and specifically in the places where they were originally taken”, mayor Francisco Juan pointed out.
