Six additional police officers join the Alcala-Alcossebre Local Police for the summer

The new officers will carry out traffic control and information tasks in the towns

The number of Alcala-Alcossebre Local Police has been increased for the three summer months – July, August and September.  The additional six officers will carry out support duties controlling traffic and information and working with the townspeople and visitors, due to the greater demand during the summer months when the population increases.  Two commissioned officers have also been brought into the force, to cover two existing vacancies.  In total, there will be 31 officers during the summer (25 regular officers and the 6 temporary officers).

The mayor, Francisco Juan, and the Police councillor, Alejandra Roca, welcomed the new officers, wishing them well and asking them “at all times, to give their best service as the Local Police are, very often, the first contact in the town for residents and visitors “.
