Alcossebre now has its own municipal gym
Residents were able to see the new sports facility at the ‘open doors’ day held on Friday 6th October

Alcossebre’s new municipal gym is now up and running. The new facility was officially opened on Friday, 6th October, having been available since the 2nd. It has been made possible by an investment of 200,000 euros from the council and has a bright 200 sq. m. exercise room filled with various machines and an area adapted for crossfit and suspension training. Specialist monitors will supervise the sports at all times and will advise users. The gym is situated in the Las Fuentes sports area and has also meant the renovation of the existing changing rooms.
At present it will be open from Monday to Friday from 10:30h to 14:00h and from 16:30 to 21:00h and on Saturdays from 9:00 to 14:00h.
Those interested in registering can already do this at the gym. The tariffs are the same as those in the Alcala gym: 5 euros, for just one day, 30 euros for a month, 60 euros for 3 months, 100 euros for 6 months and 180 euros for a year. There are also discounts under consideration of 50% for the unemployed, members of large families, the disabled and retirees.
The Sports councillor, Desa Pitarch, and the Mayor Francisco Juan, invited residents “to take advantage of the new sports facility as, just as we have proved with the Alcala municipal gym, there are many people who exercise every day, as a way of improving their health”.
