Alcala-Alcossebre Fiestas Department have already organised the third year of “Alcala in the Fresh Air” taking place in several places in Alcala town centre to set the stage for people’s dances, bringing Saturdays to life in July and August, incentivising the town’s bars and restaurants and providing residents with an alternative leisure time in Alcala.

The initiative will start on:

30th June with the Duo Tabu in the Juan Vilanova square.

7th July, the Duo +Music will perform in the Doctor Seguer street.

14th July, the dance will be in the calle Francisco Sospedra, to music by the Duo Bahia.

21st July, in the Church square, with music performed by the Duo Triban.

28th July, during the Capicorb fiestas, the dancing will be to the music of the Duo Fantasya.

4th August in the plaza del Frontón, music by Duo Triban.

11th August in the Paseo Héroes de Marruecos, w[th the Duo Tabú

18th August in the calle General Cucala, with the Duo Bahia.

“Alcala a la Fresca” will end on 24th August with the “Nit de la Xulla” during the town’s Patronal fiestas, with a party in the plaza Justo Zaragoza and music by the Duo Calibra.  This year there will be one more event, as the festival will start on 30th June.

The Fiestas councillor, Susan Guillamón, pointed out that this is now in its third year, and we can say that this initiative has now become completely consolidated, being very well received by Alcala residents who therefore enjoy an alternative festival on summer Saturdays, saving them from having to travel somewhere else to enjoy a party.  Additionally, with the dances spread all over the town centre, the hostelry businesses also benefit”.
