The Guardia Civil and Local Police arrest the person suspected of carrying out various robberies from inside vehicles in Alcala de Xivert
They were able to recover the stolen objects, being carried by the culprit in a bag, together with the tools he had used to force the vehicles open.
The Guardia Civil detained the person suspected of carrying out five robberies from inside vehicles in Alcala de Xivert.
The Guardia Civil services set up a team to fight robberies and break-ins from homes and vehicles in the province. The action was carried out when officers learned of an increase in robberies from inside vehicles parked in the street in Alcala de Xivert, where the suspect, having broken the vehicle windows, removed the valuable objects which they found inside.
The civil guards started an investigation to clarify the facts, and after numerous enquiries leading to information, they established that the suspect always used the same modus operandi, taking advantage of darkness to commit the robberies.
Continuing this work Guardia Civil and Local Police officers from Alcala de Xivert, set up a team aiming to find the perpetrator of the crimes, resulting in finding a person who was actually committing a robbery at the time from a car in a public car park. This person, seeing that the officers had surprised him, tried to hide inside the vehicle.
Having sussed out the area, the officers found four more vehicles parked in the same car park which had been broken into.
Immediately the officers proceeded to arrest this person, a 25-year old man, as the suspect who had carried out five robberies from inside cars.
The stolen objects, together with the tools he had used to force open the vehicles, were recovered from a bag the suspect was carrying.
The well-informed police findings have been passed to the Vinaròs number 1 Juzgado de Instrucción.
