There are Seven Festeras for the 2019 Alcala-Alcossebre Patronal Fiestas

This year, Alcala-Alcossebre has a large number of festeras, who will be the principal representatives for the 2019 Patronal Fiestas, dedicated to Saint John the Baptist and the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  The junior festeras are Mara Cabezas Vinuesa and Elsa Cherta Ebrí and the senior festeras are: Belén Vinuesa Rovira, Dunia Bort Llopis, Alba Barceló Roca, Selene Martí Foix y Miriam Bosch Garcia.  Again this year we have senior festeras following two years with only juniors.  But it has not been possible this year to have any male representatives, since the Council incorporated the possibility of there being festeros in 2017.

The festeras will start their journey as representatives of the fiestas on Saturday, 24^th August, with the official presentation ceremony which, as is traditional, will be held on the stage in the Church square.

The Fiestas Department is finalising preparations with regard to the principal events which make up the festive programme.  Fiestas councillor, Selene Blazquez has said “we already have nearly everything ready to enjoy the fiestas which, as always,  seek to combine participation with entertainment and our town’s traditions”.

The patronal fiestas will last from 23^rd August to 1^st September in Alcala and from the 11^th to 15^th September in Alcossebre.
