Alcala PSPV requests that the obligation to clean up dog urine be included in the by-laws
Ronchera argues that the proposal is an attempt to keep the urban landscape clean
The Alcala de Xivert-Alcossebre local socialist group is asking the governing team to modify the by-law to include the obligation to clean up dog urine.
According to the municipal socialist spokesperson Joan Ronchera, “currently there is a by-law which only penalises not collecting the pets’ excrement”.
However, “the municipal socialist group understands that this by-law would need to be extended to make it obligatory for dog owners to clean up the urine with a bottle of water and vinegar”, Ronchera explained.
He argues that, in this way, “the urban landscape would be maintained in an adequate state of cleanliness”.
