Alcala-Alcossebre Council is availing itself of the Valencian Community Tourism assistance to improve its tourism competitivity

Alcala-Alcossebre Council has availed itself of the assistance organised by Turisme Comunitat Valenciana for local bodies aimed at the improvement and competitivity of tourist resources, in fact, the programme “Competitivity and diversification away from seasonal tourism in tourist destinations”.  In total 11,567 euros have been authorised for the maintenance programme for the management systems of the quality of the beaches, through which it is carrying out follow-up audits according to ISO standards and the Q for Touristic Quality in Tourist Information, they have received 1,527 euros, which is 60% of the total cost.  Whilst for contracting an official guide for guided visits they have received 10,040 euros and to subsidise the official guide who carries out the guided visits in the tourist activities calendar which, throughout the year, are carried out both in Alcala and in Alcossebre.  In total, the Council is investing 16,734 euros for contracting the guides. 

The Tourism councillor, Selene Blázquez, said that “we are planning our tourist calendar so that we can offer activities and events which will promote the arrival of more visitors, not only during the summer months but throughout the year.  In the same way, we are working to make our infrastructures competitive and comply with all the quality parameters”.
