Alcala joins the First Charity Padel Tournament organised by the Castellón Diputación

Alcala de Xivert-Alcossebre Council, through its Sports Department, has joined the initiative organised by the Castellón Diputación so that the padel players in the town can take part in the First Charity Padel Tournament.
The tournament, which will raise funds for the Castellón Down’s Syndrome Foundation, will start with an elimination round which will be played during the first two weeks of June in the different participating towns. The pairs winning the first match will go on to play a further elimination round, and as their prize, the winning pair of this match will then be able to take part in the second phase of the Castellón Diputación First Charity Padel Tournament.
The couples who lose the first match will play an elimination round and the winning couple from this round will receive a voucher for 4 hours on the Alcala de Xivert town padel court.
THE SECOND PHASE:
There will be a draw for the final elimination round held by the Social Action department and the winning couples from each participating town will play. The matches will be held in the Club de Padel 79 in Benicassim on the 7th and 8th July. There will be no consolation round.
Players in Alcala de Xivert and Alcossebre can register in the Council offices in both towns, and at the Alcala municipal sports facilities. The final date for registering is Monday, 28th May.
Registering will give players the right to take part in the tournament, an official tournament t shirt and players who sign up in the Alcala de Xivert municipality will received a voucher for four hours on the court to be used on the Alcala de Xivert municipal sports facilities.
Registration will cost 20 Euros per player. The money collected will be for the Down Syndrome Foundation in Castellón.
Joanba Herrera, from the Alcala-Alcossebre Council Sports department, urged local players to take part in this charity initiative, which brings together a healthy sport activity and contributes to a great cause.
