Alcala-Alcossebre is setting up an online engine for reservations on-line for accommodation and tourist experiences
Support from the Tourism Department to maintain the tourist offer throughout the year is aimed both at travel agents as well as professionals

On the 10th December the new website created by the Alcala-Alcossebre Tourism Department and the Trovalia tour operator was launched, to facilitate management of local hotel reservations and tourism experiences and to promote the arrival of visitors, also offering alternatives outside the high season. Using the website www.reservasalcossebre.com you can access a reservation menu, both for accommodation and activities and tourist packages, among which are gastronomic and diving breaks and those related with Alcala-Alcossebre’s natural heritage. Immediately upon making a reservation, the user will receive an email with a voucher or receipt and the supplier will add the reservation to his data base. “The roll-out of this reservations engine is compatible both for travel agents and individuals and the website also has an option to subscribe to a newsletter (boletin de noticias), which will provide you with information about new things as they are being introduced.
Tourism councillor, Selene Blázquez, emphasised that “on one page and with a single “click” we have everything, for everyone, from choosing the place, you can plan and book the stay in our municipality and the activities which you will do.
We believe that the web is very accessible, simple to use, very visual and attractive and is an addition to the tools we have already, such as the municipal webs and the municipal social networks, taking advantage of new technologies, which give us the opportunity to spread the information and let everyone learn about what tourist activities, the hotel infrastructure and the services, are on offer in Alcala-Alcossebre”. Soon, the municipal website www.alcossebre.org will have a direct link to give direct access to the reservations engine.
The company responsible for its operation, urges “tourist businesses in Alcala-Alcossebre to sign up as suppliers, completing the form on the web and, in this way, to continue increasing the offer, both for accommodation and activities”.
Through new technology, the addition of new marketing systems for the tourist destination, was one of the most important actions from the Tourism Department developed from its roots in the 2017-2020 Strategic Tourism Plan.
