Alcala-Alcossebre Council puts on free bus services during Carnival
It will reduce car movements between Alcala and Alcossebre during the two weekends of the processions

Alcala-Alcossebre Council is again going to charter buses during the Carnival celebrations to link the two town centres, with the objective of reducing traffic movements. In fact, the buses will operate on the two days when the processions take place, 22nd February in Alcala and 29th February in Alcossebre. New this year there will be a return service from Alcala to Alcossebre, on the Saturday of the Carnival in Alcala. On Saturday 22nd a bus will leave from the calle Irta in Alcossebre at 20.00 hours arriving in Alcala, with two return trips to Alcossebre from the calle General Cucala at 1.00 am and 5.00 am. On Saturday, 29th February, the bus will leave Alcala (calle General Cucala) at 20.00 hours. There will be two trips back to Alcala from the car park in calle Colón, at 1.00am and 5.00am.
Jordi Batiste, Fiestas councillor, invited all residents and visitors “to take advantage of the bus service and avoid travelling in their personal cars”. Batiste explained that “we have decided to add a new service so that people who go from Alcossebre to Alcala can enjoy the whole fiesta night, dance and disco”.
