Alcala-Alcossebre will be the representative for the coastal municipalities in the north of the province (Vinaròs, Benicarló, Peñíscola and Alcalà-Alcossebre) on the committee for Territorial Structure created by the Provincial Tourist Board. The election was made unanimously at the first meeting of the coastal municipalities sector committee, of which Alcala-Alcossebre forms part.
Tourism councillor, Selene Blázquez, Council representative on these management bodies, emphasised that “the formula for the work will be coordinated with the rest of the municipalities along the coast for the actions to be developed and to show them, later, on the Territorial Structure committee, so that they can then coordinate them with the rest of the municipalities in the province”. Regarding short term actions to be taken, Blázquez said that “we are going to work so that our municipality can take advantage of different programmes and actions to improve the tourism competitivity set out by the Provincial Tourism Board, such as the strategy for intelligent tourist destinations, the adaptation for the Generalitat Valenciana’s regulations for the tourist municipality and the development of tourist products which could improve our competitivity”.
