A new aircraft with health protection materials chartered by the Generalitat arrived at the Manises airport on 6th April at mid-day
- The flight from China transported 65 tonnes of equipment: 506,800 masks, 994,500 gloves, 216,860 Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and 60,000 eye protection spectacles - the load will be distributed between different health departments and socio-health centres in the Valencian Community

A new aircraft, chartered by the Generalitat, with health protection materials arrived at Manises airport on 6th April at mid-day. It was the fourth flight from China which landed in our country with equipment for the staff in health and socio-health centres in the Comunitat Valenciana.
So, on this occasion, the flight which had made a stop in Moscow before landing at the Valencian airport, and which is included in the Silk Road Operation set in operation by the Department to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, transported 506,800 masks, 994,500 gloves, 216,860 personal protection equipment (PPE) and 60,000 eye protection goggles.
The 65 tonnes of material on this flight are in addition to the nearly million masks, the 10,031 Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and the 10,000 eye protection goggles, which arrived in Zaragoza and Barcelona on Tuesday 31st March and the 3,800,000 masks, 5,000 total protection suits and 200,000 gloves which also arrived at Aragon capital airport on 25th March. To all this material must be added the numerous donations which have arrived from business and individuals and which have been put at the disposal of the health authorities.
As on previous occasions, once they have come through customs, the loads are loaded onto lorries at the Generalitat’s logistics centre for onward distribution between the different health departments and socio-health centres in the Valencian Community.

Material from the Health Ministry and donations
To the health material which arrived on Monday on the aircraft from China has to be added that supplied by the Government of Spain, composed of 620,000 gloves, 336,470 surgical masks, 90,050 FFP2 virus masks, 13,380 FFP3 virus masks, 26,800 tops and 4,400 hydroalcoholic solution
Also, there has been a donation of non-invasive respirators from INDITEX and BBVA, who have given 22 and 49 units respectively, to these will be added invasive respirators in the next few days and weeks acquired by the Generalitat.
