Alcossebre beaches have renewed the four blue flags for beaches authorised by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) through the ADEAC (Association for Environmental Education and the Consumer).  This is an international award which recognises the high quality of the water, the environmental quality and the services offered.  The Cargador, Romana, Manyetes and Moro beaches have revalidated the award for another year, placing the locality among the winners of the most awards.  The award for the Coastline Walkway which links the Cargador and Romana beaches is in addition to the four blue flags for beaches.

Mayor Francisco Juan stressed that “this award is one which recognises the high quality of the water on the beaches as well as our effort in maintaining all the services and infrastructures in their best condition.  The effort this year is going to be greater, if possible, due to the preventive measures to avoid COVID-19 infection on our beaches”.  Juan pointed out that “Alcossebre is a privileged place as the five awards show, which for another year again recognise us as a well-managed coast, which is taking care of the environmental quality”.
