All of Alcossebre’s beaches and coves receive the Qualitur quality award

Alcossebre’s beaches are already displaying their Qualitur awards which prove they comply with the quality, safety and accessibility parameters.  All the beaches and coves in Alcossebre have this award although the flags are only flying on the Las Fuentes, Cargador, Romana, Moro and Mañetes beaches.  The Qualitur awards value the quality of the facilities, the environmental quality and the beach accessibility and, in the words of the Tourism Autonomous Secretary, Francesc Colomer, who was present on 10th July when the Qualitur flag was raised on the Cargador beach, “this programme awards a prize for the efforts made to maintain all the quality parameters incorporating the safety, which we must value this summer more than ever”.

Mayor Francisco Juan reminded that “this is an atypical summer, firstly because of the devastation our beaches suffered from storm Gloria and the work which had to be carried out and, in the second place, by the extraordinary measures which the health alert forced us to take” and he emphasised that “the beaches are one of our priority aims, out of all the administrations, and we are working to bring all the conditions together but, to count on safe beaches this summer, we need caution and responsibility from everyone”.
