Alcala-Alcossebre Council and Valencian Community Tourism sign an agreement to use the Alcossebre CESAL as an extension of the CdT

On 5th August the Mayor of Alcala-Alcossebre, Francisco Juan, and the Autonomous Tourism Secretary signed the cooperation agreement with the Valencian Community Tourism Department to prepare two rooms in the Alcossebre CESAL municipal building as an extension of the Castellón CdT. It states that the Valencian Generalitat will invest 30,000 euros to prepare two rooms in the building, one as a kitchen and the other as an IT and projection room. The agreement reflects that “Alcala de Xivert is a basically tourist municipality and that there are numerous businesses and working people in the sector which require an increase in training for tourism”.
The processes to reach this event started in 2016, with the first offer from the Council to the Valencian Generalitat to hand over part of the CESAL to be converted as an extension of the CdT Castelló with the aim of promoting the tourism and hospitality training sector, which is very important in the Baix Maestrat region.
Mayor Francisco Juan thanked the Tourism Autonomous Secretary, Francesc Colimer “for his support and involvement so that the signing of this agreement could happen, and for his complete understanding that the cooperation between the Council and Generalitat is essential to achieve better training for the tourism businesses and workers in our locality”.
