Alcala-Alcossebre Council is getting the education centres ready to guarantee a safe return to school

The Alcala-Alcossebre Council Education and Service Departments are cooperating to work with the management teams in preparing and getting the CEIP La Mola and CEIP Lo Campanar ready before the start of the school year next Monday, 7th September.  This year has been marked by an increase in the tasks related to cleanliness and disinfection due to complying with the safety protocols to prevent the transmission of COVID-19.  Thus exhaustive cleaning and disinfection have been carried out inside the centres and in the outside areas such as the playgrounds. The Council has also increased the number of cleaning staff at the centres.

Plumbing, painting, electrical and repair works have also been carried out and, as requested by the centres themselves, different improvements such as recovering the fences of the prefabricated classrooms at the CEIP La Mola as requested by the management team of the Centre’s Parents’ Association.

Education councillor, Selene Blázquez, said that “we are clear that the priorities this year are the safety measures and the Council will do whatever is in our power to act in a coordinated way with the education centres and to guarantee that the measures provide maximum compliance”.
