“Open doors” so that you can see the refurbishment and improvements to the Alcala de Xivert Pensioners’ Centre
On the 26th and 27th September you can visit the refurbished facilities and see the services which will be available through the Retirees and Pensioners Association

The refurbishment work at the Alcala de Xivert Pensioners’ Centre is now complete and all local residents will be able to visit the centre. So that the refurbishment and improvements at the facilities can be seen the Retirees and Pensioners’ Association has organised open doors information days on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th September from 10.00 hours to 14.00 hours and from 16.30 hours to 19.30 hours. To install a one-way route, to avoid crowds, entrance will be from calle Sant Mateu and exit through the new access in the calle Maestrat. During the two days, there will be information on the new services available in the Centre run by professionals, such as chiropody, nutrition, physiotherapy, therapeutic pool and rehabilitation gymnasium.
The Council was in charge of the refurbishment which consisted of constructing a new access in the calle Maestrat, the renewal of the paving and installing the therapeutic pool, preparation of the gymnasium, modernisation of the bar-café facility, remodelling the access door and the outside area, renewal of the electricity and plumbing services and systems.
“The improvement to the whole Pensioners’ Centre and above all in the bar area is going to be clearly visible, giving a new life and possibilities for this municipal building, which we hope will have a good reception not only from members but from all the residents”, Mayor Francisco Juan emphasised.
