Alcala de Xivert PSOE criticises the governing team for spending 30,000 euros on legal advice
Alcalà de Xivert-Alcossebre PSPV-PSOE is criticising the governing group for having awarded a new legal advice and defence in court contract for an annual value of 30,000 euros as according to the socialist spokesperson, Joan Ronchera, a legal advice and town planning engineer role was created, to save money. Ronchera regrets that in spite of the creation of this role, the governing team has gone on to contract this service “lying noisily regarding their claim”.
“In the previous legislature, Francisco Juan’s government wrote off the role of General Administration Technician to create that of legal and town planning technician with the argument that it was for financial saving reasons. However, imagine our surprise when, in spite of finalising the contract for assistance on town planning matters at that moment, it was not renewed.
This is why the municipal socialist spokesperson describes as a “joke” that mayor Francisco Juan “was selling the creation of this role as a saving when, in reality, he continued contracting the service. “the mayor said that with a municipal lawyer, the council would be able to keep the two contracts with the two lawyers’ offices – that of legal advice and town planning assistance – but, regarding the new adjudication, he told citizens a bare-faced lie and we continue maintaining the same cost”, Ronchera finished.
