Alcala-Alcossebre Council has approved the project and put out to building tender the new large green zone

The tender price for the project is 205,000 euros and the planned construction time is two months.  The tender has already been published on the Public Sector Contracting Platform and companies interested will be able to present their offers up to the 2^nd December.

The project, drawn up by Municipal Technical Services, has taken into account converting this area into a large open green space, with different uses related to the well-being of all ages of people in the population, such as different areas with children’s games, seating areas, pergolas, courses for sports activities, a healthy circuit and an area for pets.  Public lighting and garden watering installations will be put in.  The work will cover 4,600 sq. metres.  Also, traditional Mediterranean species will be planted in the area, converting it into a green lung within the urban nucleus.  The work also contemplates maintaining a parking area next to the football field.

Mayor Francisco Juan assessed that “it was necessary to support a space with these characteristics and we are very satisfied at having been able to start work on it and get it going this year with the pandemic situation which we are living through, which has confirmed the importance of green areas in the open air”.
