Alcala-Alcossebre Council is carrying out various accessibility improvements and repairs and construction of new pavements in several places in the urban centres.  In fact, in the Avenida Manila, work is continuing with the project started in 2016 to carry out a concrete pavement, facilitating accessibility and removing architectural barriers, preparing pedestrian areas with kerbs.  This work has a total cost of 30,000 euros and is being carried out using funds from the Provincial Plan for Cooperation for Works and Services.

Work is also being carried out improving the pavements and constructing new sections along the calle Ferrocarril, Carretera CV-142, calle Azahar and calle Timó and a new section of pedestrian path, edged with bollards for greater road safety, between the calles Rench and San José.  Costing 15,000 euros, these works are also included in the Provincial Plan for Works and Services.

“Working on the town infrastructures to improve accessibility and remove architectural barriers is a priority and, during 2021, we are going to continue working in places such as the Church square and the La Mola Primary School surroundings”, Mayor Francisco Juan announced.
