The new promenade beside the Cargador Beach is now open
As a result of action by the Alcala de Xivert Council with the Coastal Territory Directorate, there is now a new promenade along the coast in Alcossebre beside the Cargador Beach. Thus, following three months of work, residents and tourists in Alcossebre can walk beside the Cargador Beach, go along the new wooden walkways, enjoy the rest areas and visit the gardens. These rockeries, with indigenous plants, have an authentic beauty and have already received all kinds of praise from passersby.
New lighting along the promenade was something else included in the project. Green areas have been treated with modern materials such as artificial grass.
Mayor Francisco Juan echoed the satisfaction of the council at having been able to carry out this project: “This walkway beside the Cargador Beach joins the coastal path which we have already seen selected for the award of a path blue flag, as well as the Lighthouse area, which everyone visits, demonstrating the high quality of our facilities as well as our excellent beaches”. Alcossebre’s new promenade is another result of constant work. “The creation of this first phase of the promenade was a good thing, which was achieved after many meetings with Costas, who finally appreciated our request,” he explained.
Ricardo Aguilar, Alcala Council’s Tourism councillor, said that “It was a complex job, which was carried out with great respect for the surroundings and with maximum regard for the environment, with the most suitable materials”.
