Reunion in Alcala de Xivert of the 1961 teaching graduates

The Council gave each participant a copy of a book on the area’s history and heritage
On the 8th June, the Castellón 1961 teaching graduates held their reunion in Alcala de Xivert.  This gathering was part of these teaching veterans’ tradition of meeting in one of the province’s towns each year, to share a day of memories, friendship and experiences of their years of work in the teaching profession.
The Alcala de Xivert-Alcossebre Council’s Culture and Education councillor, Maria Agut, hosted the group of over 50 people who met in the town.  On behalf of the Council, she welcomed the teachers, led by Doña Consuelo, an Alcala resident who was taking part.
The visitors were able to visit the most important places in the town, such as the church, the parish museum and the Bell Tower, and were invited by the Culture councillor to visit Alcossebre to see the charms of this coastal town.  Alcala de Xivert-Alcossebre Council presented the visitors with a book on the heritage and history of the area.
