Alcossebre will have a magical night for San Juan

The Alcala de Xivert Council Fiestas department is finalising the preparations for a great fiesta in Alcossebre which will attract thousands of people to the Las Fuentes charismatic beach on this one special San Juan night.
“We hope that thousands of people will come to the beach to celebrate this night as it should be”, Pascual Herrera, the Head of the council’s Fiestas, explained.
Events will start during the evening of 23rd June, when the Percuteam group will march through the streets of Alcossebre with their loud rhythms.  After this procession, all the action will be on the Las Fuentes beach.  “We invite everyone to bring their dinner to the beach and to take part in a great fiesta beside the sea, culminating in the traditional moment of dipping one’s feet in the sea to purify the spirit and make your wishes on the shortest night of the year”, Herrera said.
So that this celebration happens in the best way possible, the Council has organised a special team to keep watch which will be in operation until the end of the celebration.  The cleaning service will also be stepped up so that the beaches will be in a perfect state the following morning.
