Alcala de Xivert
Council has run a free training course for members of the different clubs using
the sports facilities, to learn how to use the defibrillators which have been
provided at these facilities by the Council, as well as the protocols for
action in the event of an emergency.
The government
pointed out that “we are concerned about
the health of our residents, and although we hope that it will never be necessary
to use them, we have provided defibrillators at the sports facilities, as well
as ensuring that members of the local sports clubs know how to act in the event
of an emergency”.
The mayor, Francisco Juan Mars, repeated the local executive’s
promise for health and prevention, which was why the Council organised these
courses on how to use the defibrillators and first aid with the Red Cross.
There are future courses of this type planned “so that as many people as possible in the town can have access to this
knowledge of first aid and how to use the defibrillators, so that they will
know what to do in the event of an accident”.
