Alcala de Xivert Council has finished improvement work to the area around the La Mola school in Alcossebre.  According to municipal sources, this project was to give Alcossebre a place where they could carry out cultural activities and activities in the open air, “all sorts of events for everyone”.  The resulting space is a paved, open space, with a terraced area so that the audience can sit down.
The project has been completed, and had a budget of 96,000 euros, with  grants from the Valencian Tourism Agency and from the Castellón Diputación Provincial Plans for Works and Services authorised for  2011.
The Alcala de Xivert Council is also going to repair and improve the Children’s Park in the Plaza Vista Alegre area on the Promenade in Alcossebre.  The work will have a budget of 25,000 euros, and is included in the Castellón Diputación Provincial Plans regarding particular facilities in the town.  It is an area for walking and recreation, where numerous activities are held during the year, including the open-air Library.
The local executive has pointed out that it is one of their priorities “to improve areas for the very young, as they have done in other areas, such as the park next to the La Mola school, the leisure area in Las Fuentes, the park in the Plaza de Las Escuelas and the improvements in the Plaza del Convento.
