Alcala de Xivert-Alcossebre Council is promoting its inland tourism on the coast

Alcala de
Xivert-Alcossebre has put up a hoarding at the entrance to Alcossebre
advertising the attractions of Alcala de Xivert to tourists.
This hoarding
shows a large picture of the Xivert Castle, the parish church, the Bell Tower
and the enormous drum “Lo Gaspatxer”,
encouraging people to visit Alcala de Xivert 9 kms away.
The Mayor of
Alcala de Xivert, Francisco Juan Mars stated that “it is a promotional campaign
for the town like the banners which are flying on the beaches.
The councillors
indicated that “the main aim is to tell
visitors about our rich historical-cultural heritage”.
