The ‘Pipes and Drums Festival’ brought groups from Alcala de Xivert and Santa Magdalena to Alcossebre

The Culture Department of the Castellón Provincial Diputación has organised a series of concerts by the groups of “dolçaina i tabal” and Alcossebre was chosen to hold the fifth in the series.

The Alcala de Xivert “Lo Xular” group of Pipes and Drums, which is celebrating its twentieth anniversary this year, was the host for this musical, cultural event, welcoming the “Polpis” group of Pipes and Drums from Santa Magdalena de Pulpis.  The concert was held in the Plaza de la Mola on Saturday, 12th July.

The group from Santa Magdalena started the concert, followed by “Lo Xular”, and the concert ended with both groups playing two pieces together.
