The Friends of Alcossebre
, with their logo “Supporting our Community”, will re-open the Charity Shop on Saturday, 27th July, in their new, refurbished, larger premises on the sea front facing the Playa Cargador in Alcossebre.  It will be open from Monday to Saturday mornings from 10:30h to 13:30h, with its wide range of good quality, second-hand, clean clothing, books and bric-a-brac – donations of which are always welcome and may be brought to the shop at Edificio Irta Playa, Playa Carregador, next to the Restaurante El Arenal, or to the Collection Points in the Alcossebre Pensionistas and the Alcala Pensionistas premises.

The Committee and volunteers are looking forward to welcoming all our regular customers and many new ones to the larger and improved Charity Shop.

With all kinds of support from the people of Alcossebre, Alcala de Xivert and many of the surrounding towns and villages, the Friends of Alcossebre have donated well over 100,000 Euros since it was founded in 2006 to over 50 local charities, such as the Red Cross and the AECC, associations and organisations, and the money raised in the shop is now needed more than ever particularly to help the local Food Banks.   Enormous thanks go to everyone for this achievement and with the great efforts of all the volunteers, the welcome donations of clothes, books and other articles from all our supporters and the many customers who are now our friends, we want to raise another 100,000 Euros to continue our support of the town and people of Alcala de Xivert-Alcossebre in these difficult times.  If you would like to become part of this and volunteer to help in the shop or store-room, we would love to hear from you.
