In the tenth anniversary of the Harley Rally, participation exceeded that of previous years in spite of the threat of rain
Sunday 8th
September was the last day of the intense weekend of the tenth anniversary year
of the Harley Davidson and Custom Bike Rally organised by Custom Maestrat. Concerts, exhibitions and vast meals were the
main events in a very full programme.
“It has been a
very intense weekend, and we have exceeded previous participation and enjoyed
an incredible atmosphere”, the organisers stated.
Although it
rained on Saturday, it did not prevent any of the programmed events taking
place, all of which were a great success – just as the concerts on Friday and
Saturday nights were, with music provided by The Ladies, The Humprehs, Gene
Cats and Los Gatos Locos groups.
Sueca Iron group
was also present, one of the main reference groups in the world of customised
bikes. And there were not just bikes,
but also veteran cars, such as the AC Cobras, which had come from England.
The final day
was the Sunday, with a show of acrobatics on bikes, combined with the
distribution of portions of a giant sandwich and the preparation of the now
traditional rally paella in the hands of the organisers, for over 800 people.
The Alcala de
Xivert-Alcossebre ‘festeras’ attended and took part in the fiesta dancing and went
for a ride on a bike.
Finally, there
was the closing ceremony, with thanks to all who had cooperated in the event.
