Alcala de Xivert-Alcossebre Council is about to complete the renovation work on the Alcala Pensioners’ Centre, and will soon open the new, improved facilities.
With a total investment of around 241,000 Euros, financed from the Council’s own coffers and the Castellón Diputación Provincial, the spa area, which was previously unused, has been completely renovated, and at the same time the whole gymnasium area has been improved. Consulting rooms have also been set up so that the different specialists, such as chiropodists and physiotherapists among others, can give the elderly quality attention more easily. Changing rooms and showers have also been installed in this area.
Local mayor, Francisco Juan Mars, stated that “the governing group in Alcala de Xivert-Alcossebre, is continuing with its support for people. This time, we took measures for our older people with the improvements at the Alcala pensioners’ centre in the Spa-gymnasium-physiotherapy area”. In fact, Juan explained that “we are very happy as this work is one more step in improving the services we can provide for our residents”.
The council is also continuing with its policy of awarding work to local businesses to assist the town’s companies and create employment in these difficult times.
