Alcala de Xivert Council meeting approves the final steps for the sewage plant to become operative
At a full Council Meeting held on Wednesday 29th January, among other matters, account was taken of the non-existence of problems during the second half of 2013. This information will be sent to the Generalitat Valenciana’s Accounts Sindicature.
Regarding this matter, the mayor, Francisco Juan Mars, spoke about the merit of this matter, indicating that “the Partido Popular’s management over the years has enabled us to comply with all the regulations regarding financial matters as imposed by the treasury ministry” He also stated that during this period the balance was “zero agreements adopted with reports against the Secretariat, zero files of extrajudicial examinations, payments to suppliers within 30 days, zero Intervention problems and zero outstanding needs for budget application”.
The mayor added that “to govern is to manage”. He said “we have not requested any loans since 2011, we have not failed to Pay Suppliers, our indebtedness is 21.89%.... we can be satisfied with the financial state”, he concluded.
At this ordinary council meeting, it was unanimously agreed that the land for the sewage plant should be made available for the EPSAR, “it is parcels of land for the sewage pipe network, which is the final requirement, and machinery tests will commence soon” José Colom assured the meeting.
The Agenda included dealing with the modification of the regulatory bylaw for the tax for the supply of the service of vehicle withdrawal. All present voted in favour except the BLOC-Compromis representative, Manel Salvador, who abstained, saying that he would prefer the tax not to be loss-making.
Finally another of those matters of interest which were approved at the meeting was the classification of proposals for the contract for the management service of public lighting installations. “This is a step prior to the awarding, and it is now when companies should present the documentation which is required”, sources at the council indicated, with a favourable unanimous vote.
