Repairs to the Alcala Pensioners’ Hall roof carried out by the Alcala de Xivert-Alcossebre Council
The work, using workers employed under the Employment Plan, involved repairing the leaks in the building’s roof, and this was done with roofing felt.
The mayor, Francisco Juan Mars, said that the work, carried out within the town’s Employment Plan, had two aspects, “whilst on the one hand it was improving a public space, the creation of jobs helps combat the effects of the economic situation and unemployment among our residents”.
Sources in the council pointed out that “Alcala de Xivert Council has invested a total of 500,000 euros in the different Employment Plans”.
This work was carried out in addition to the earlier investment in the Pensioners’ Hall which included the renovation of the gymnasium, the spa area and the offices. This work was carried out by local companies and will be opened shortly.
