Alcossebre
The Sierra d’Irta Natural Park
On 21st, 22nd and 23rd March, staff at the Sierra d’Irta Natural Park carried out an information programme about the migratory birds which spend part of each year in the Park.
They had prepared an exhibition, gave lectures and children’s workshops, all aiming to tell people the why and wherefore and how the birds face up to the journey from Senegal to the Sierra d’Irta, a journey which has been called the “Dakar of the birds”.
The events were held in the Alcossebre Sant Benet Pensioners’ Association headquarters.
