The Alcossebre Players and some friends recently held some events to raise money for the Food Bank in Alcossebre.

The Drama Group presented 2 'Cockney Ding Dongs' in the local Bar Flamingo. These were typical cockney evenings with a variety of well known songs, monologues ,jokes and of course rhyming slang! The audience participation was outstanding and the event was rounded off with a very tasty, and piping hot, sausage and mash supper (not forgetting the onion gravy!)
John Stacey also grew his hair, coloured it and then made people pay to cut it off with a pair of nail scissors. This raised over 200€. Maurice Webb, one of the cockney players, had his friends to lunch and raised a further 50€.
So together with collections at the end of the cockney evenings and profits from the show, 600€ was handed over to the Food Bank.
A most enjoyable way to raise money!!!!!
